Cattle vets to gather in N.C.

The American Association of Bovine Practitioners’ 49th annual conference will be held September 15 to 17 in Charlotte, N.C.

Registration has opened for the American Association of Bovine Practitioners' 49th annual conference, which will be held September 15 to 17 in Charlotte, N.C.

Held jointly with the American Association of Small Ruminant Practitioners, AABP's conference will feature continuing education programs under the theme "Facing the Future Together."

"An extensive offering of programs and sessions [will] bring attendees up to speed on veterinary feed directives, welfare issues, prudent drug use and antimicrobial stewardship," said AABP President-Elect Mark J. Thomas, DVM, the program chairman.

Keynote speaker Vance Crowe, director of millennial engagement at Monsanto Co., will discuss modern agricultural practices and consumer philosophies.

AABP's preconference seminar schedule includes 21 courses.
