Brain Teaser: Can you solve this puzzle?

Can you answer all three of these questions correctly?

Answers

  1. The sub-mucosa. Sutures should not go any deeper than the sub-mucosa because they can lead to stone formation when exposed to urine.
  2. A synthetic, absorbable, monofilament suture; a blunt needle.
  3. A simple, appositioning, continuous suture is now recommended. An inverting continuous suture (Cushing) is acceptable. An everting suture pattern is not recommended. Simple continuous sutures are not recommended anymore. A single layer closure is usually enough.

  1. Is the last sentence correct?
"Simple continuous sutures are not recommended anymore." Didn't the first line say simple was ok? Is this supposed to say simple interrupted.
