Animal health groups receive Patterson funding

Canine Partners for Life and Freedom Service Dogs were selected based on need and community impact

Two animal health organizations have received grants from the Patterson Foundation.

Canine Partners for Life and Freedom Service Dogs are among 11 nonprofit groups to be given funds. The organizations, which were selected based on the foundation's focus of providing dental care to disadvantaged communities and assistance dogs to veterans and people with disabilities, were chosen based on need and overall community impact.

"We are thrilled to continue supporting organizations that align with Patterson's values," says foundation president George Henriques. "These selected organizations provide meaningful contributions that are making a difference in the communities they serve."

Last year, the foundation gave more than $1.4 million in grants and scholarships, which helped place more than 48 assistance dogs with veterans or persons with disabilities.

"The life-changing work of these organizations embodies the essence of community, and we are honored to be a part of that," Henriques says.
