NC vet college celebrates largest graduating class ever

North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine’s Oath & Hooding Ceremony had the college’s largest graduating class ever with 98 graduates

North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine recently celebrated its largest graduating class ever with 98 graduates. Members of the Class of 2016 took the Veterinarian's Oath during the Oath & Hooding Ceremony in early May.

The most popular career path, according to the college, remains small animal practice with 72 graduates completing a curriculum focus in that field. Other areas of focus include: small animal avian and exotics (4 graduates), mixed animal practice (6 graduates), equine practice (10 graduates) and pathology (3 graduates).

The NC State College of Veterinary Medicine was established in 1979 and graduated its first class in 1985 when 37 students received the DVM degree.
