Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine is launching their “Veterinarians Around the World Photo Competition.” According to the KSU website: “The theme for the competition is international veterinary medicine. Entries should capture efforts to improve animal health, public health or wildlife/ecosystem health; food security (sustainable production systems); food safety; capacity building; animal welfare; or biological threat reduction. Any other subjects relating to international veterinary medicine will also be considered.” The first prize will receive $1,000, while two runner-ups will get a $500 prize. The photographers will also be put in a calendar. KSU students who are pursuing a veterinary degree, are getting a Bachelor's or a postgraduate/graduate degree. The deadline is August 15.
