Henry Schein Animal Health has become the exclusive veterinary distributor of Neonorm Foal, manufacturer Jaguar Animal Health reported Monday. Neonorm Foal is an oral, non-prescription product formulated to normalize water flow into the intestine and reduce the severity of diarrhea in young horses, Jaguar stated. The San Francisco company also makes Neonorm Calf and is working on prescription drugs designed to control chemotherapy-induced diarrhea in dogs and treat acute equine colitis. The arrangement with Dublin, Ohio-based Henry Schein Animal Health ends the sale of Neonorm Foal through distributors RJ Matthews, Patterson Veterinary Supply and MWI Veterinary Supply. “We are very excited to have the support of one the world’s leading companion animal health distribution companies in our effort to drive sales of Neonorm Foal throughout the U.S. equine market,” said Jaguar’s president and CEO, Lisa Conte. Like Neonorm Calf, the equine product is plant-based, containing a botanical extract derived from the Croton lechleri tree.
